Alton Wayne Miley
(November 14, 1954 – December 2, 2023)

Alton Wayne Miley, 69 of Bay Springs, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born on Sunday, November 14, 1954 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Rock Bluff Cemetery in White Oak, Mississippi. Bro. Ed King and Bro. James Sprayberry will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181

Mr. Wayne was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He was a graduate of Kosciusko High School in Kosciusko, Mississippi.  He continued his education at Holmes Community College, Mississippi College, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  He was a recruiter for Family Health Center, Inc.

He enjoyed going on cruises, working outdoors, singing, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Purvis Miley.

Survivors include his loving mother, Ruby Thompson Miley of Bay Springs, MS; one brother, Allen Miley (Paula) of Clinton, MS; one sister, Barbara Ann Miley Hutto of Bay Springs, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
