Nannie Belle “Red” Womack, 78, passed from this life on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her residence in Mendenhall, MS.
Funeral service for Mrs. Womack will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, MS with Bro. Earl Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in Magee.
She was born Sunday, August 1, 1937 in Yazoo County, MS. She was an accountant and home maker, and was a member of Pinola Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters Ellen Giles and husband Michael of Magee, Susan Holston and husband Scott of Florence, grandchildren Clayton Giles, Creston Giles, and Savanna Holston, brother Barnett Harry “Bud” Broocks, sister Florria Carrell, sister-in-law – Kathleen W. May, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Barnett Mills Broocks, and Nellie Margaret Martin Broocks, husband of 56 years Eugene “Cuz” Womack, and sister Mary Katherine Broocks,
Pallbearers will be Danny Mclendon, Terry Pender, Kevin Grant, Scott Nichols, David Womack, and Ricky Gregory,
