Traffic signal installation at U.S. 49 and State Route 149 in Simpson County
. – The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 49 and State Route 149 in Simpson County.
As part of a $1.8 million project to make safety improvements at the intersections of U.S. 49 and State Route 149 and U.S. 49 and Siloam Rd. in Simpson County. The scope of work includes widening lanes, improving traffic flow and adding traffic signals.
The new signal at U.S. 49 and SR 149 is now fully operational.
The project was awarded to T.L. Wallace of Columbia and is expected to be completed this summer.
