The Magee Lions Club welcomed new member Lion Denis Borges, Magee Chief of Police at their recent meeting. Lion Borges was sponsored by Lion member Dr. Denver Carter.
State Senator Andy Berry was guest speaker at the Magee Lions Club meeting. Senator Berry discussed potential issues to be dealt with at the upcoming legislative session including reduction or elimination of the state income tax, possible reduction of the grocery tax, issues with school truancy officers, the state employee retirement systems (PERS), and a variety of other matters. Senator Berry was the guest of Lion Dale Berry, Mayor of Magee.
