Gray turned himself in later that day after our officers contacted him via phone.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

To the Citizens of Magee,

As the leader of your police department, I want to assure you that behavior like what occurred yesterday will not be tolerated in our city. Our officers and investigators will work tirelessly to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice and held accountable.

I also want to extend my gratitude to the citizens who assisted our officers in quickly identifying the alleged shooter. Without the community’s support, keeping the city safe becomes much more challenging.

Magee is a great city, and we are committed to working day and night to keep it safe. Your safety is our priority, and we will continue to take every action necessary to protect our community.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Chief Denis Borges
