Willis Carr “W.C.” Allen, 86 of Magee, Mississippi passed from his earthly to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at his residence in Magee, Mississippi. He was born Friday, May 7, 1937 in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 Eight Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Joe Metts and Ron Moseley will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Master Sergeant W.C. Allen served as a squad leader, platoon Sergeant, and First Sergeant in the Mississippi National Guard. He served with distinction during Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a Platoon Sergeant. He has been the recipient of numerous Federal and State commendations and achievement awards. He was influential in shaping the lives of numerous young people through the Youth Challenge Program, and his recruiting efforts in the Army National Guard. He was a role model for all, a leader without comparison in both his military and civilian lives. He was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church where he served faithfully. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Both his country and his family will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nevil Allen; mother, Annie Lee Mangum Allen; brothers, James Arthur Allen and Robert Lee Allen; sister, Lurlene Allen Wade; grandchild, Cody Sullivan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah Allen; sons, Michael Carr Allen (Paula), Matthew Allen (Chanel) and Merrick Beavers Allen (Ruth); grandchildren, Christen Allen Harvison (Kyle), Jacob Allen (Callie), Hannah Hughes, Amber Allen Peale (David), Taylor Allen (Maddie), Isaac Allen, Sylvia Allen (Ricky), Nicholas Allen, Joshua Allen and Sawyer Allen; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Allen, Taylor Allen, Jacob Allen, Joshua Allen, Sawyer Allen, and Alan Wade.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Moseley, Charlie Higgins, Chuck Akers, Danny Craft, Billy Joe Wheat, Estus Junior Mangum, and Billy Blair.
