RewardDogPicHere is an update sent to me by Michele concerning the family pet, Harley

“This afternoon, four days after finding Harley with 4 holes in her body under her chest and front left thigh, Ritchie finally looked at the pictures. He was not home with me when I found her and Garrett buried her for us. Several men where her to help us though. After being convinced someone shot her by looking at her holes, we are thinking possibly a pit bull got the best of her which didn’t take long in a confined area to end her life just feet from our back door. After thinking and thinking and talking to others and finding out the hundreds of pounds of pressure and their intent to kill, Ritchie rather believe that is what happened. I don’t know what is worse! Had I only left her inside she would not have died or suffered. IF it was a pit bull, she probably suffered worse! I can’t stand the thought either way and its deeply hurting us… I know everyone has been so concerned and sharing our story. Please know we appreciate it! In a sense it makes us feel a little less worried someone was so cruel and hateful but not one ounce of hurt that’s she’s gone and suffered will leave our hearts. If by chance you do hear different, please let us know as soon as possible. Thanks again and we love you all! Please pass along.”

Harley was shot in her back yard on Friday night, September 4th or in the early hours of Saturday morning. Harley lived on Blackwell Road off Hwy 541 In Magee.

If you have any information, please contact the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office at 601-847-2921
How sad is this? A precious family pet shot in its own back yard…surely someone knows something…help this family find closure…but more than that…help find someone who has no respect for life.
