Get ready for one of the best family-friendly events in the South—The Mississippi Watermelon Festival returns to Mize, Mississippi, on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19!

Kaelyn Hollingsworth, the reigning Mississippi Watermelon Queen, recently stopped by MageeNews to spread the word—and brought along a delicious Smith County watermelon. Smith County’s rich soil produces watermelons so sweet and juicy, they’re shipped all across the United States!

Kaelyn proudly shared that festival proceeds benefit the Mize Volunteer Fire Department, making this event both fun and meaningful.
