The City of Magee Zoning Board is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 5:30 PM at the City Hall.
The meeting is dealing with four properties in question concerning zoning.
1. 172 Simpson Hwy 149 —rezoning from R-1 to C-3 (I believe this is the old pawn shop). According to notes on the application, the area should have been zoned C-3 earlier. Sherrye C. Polles of Hattiesburg is requesting the change. The property will remain commercial.
2. 164 Simpson Hwy 149—rezoning from R-1 to C-3. ((This is the building below the Pawn shop and near Murry’s Tire Center). The property is owned by Anthony Koehn and operating at this time as an Electrical Office. The property will remain commercial.
3.421-B Pinola Drive— Conditional Use (The building is behind the Subway). Mark Joy owns the building but William B. Dunn is requesting use of the building for a package store (Dunn’sEnterprise LLC). There are no restrictive covenants on the building at this time. Conditional use zoning is required by the Zoning ordinance for business of this nature per section 1602 of the city code.
4. 1529 Simpson Hwy 49—Conditional Use —The building is owned by Marcus Magee. Rashmln Patel is requesting use of the building for a package store. There are no restrictive covenants on the building at this time. Conditional use zoning is required by the Zoning ordinance for business of this nature per section 1602 of the city zoning code.
