The City of Magee Zoning Board met Tuesday, April 10th @ 5:30 @ City Hall Court Room.
The meeting was held to discuss a dimensional variance requested at 509 1st AV SW Magee, MS.
Owners David and Rhoda Little requested a dimensional variance to allow the building of a porch and deck plus power to be placed on the corner of the building. The area in discussion is directly behind the car wash near the old Sonic bldg. David and Rhoda purchased the large shed and house to enlarge their bakery services.
The building is only 30 feet from the street which does not meet the building codes. Accepting the 15 foot variance allows continuation of construction.
The board, composed of Brian Hubbard, Diane McPhail, Author Milton, Bill Caughman, James Peden, Jim Ball, and Sue Honea, unanimously approved the request.
The zoning board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month when needed. Members of the board are appointed by their city alderman.
General contractor for the project is Dillon Coulson. The electrical contractor is Anthony Kohen.
