The Scriptural passage chosen for this morning is found in Psalm 16:5: “Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure.” If we have accepted God’s gift of salvation, we, too, can say with the psalmist that our lot is secure in Christ Jesus. We have chosen to give God control of our lives and to rely on His guidance to see us through to eternal life with Him. It’s a matter of relinquishing our will to a higher power. Might be time to do an assessment and change things. It’s up to each of us.
Let’s be sure to purpose in our hearts today to share the joy, love, and kindness with all those with whom we come in contact. Don’t be stingy with those gifts. Smile, rejoice, and reflect a grateful heart.
