At approximately 3 PM Wednesday afternoon November 20, 2019, an 18 wheeler and a pick up truck were involved in an accident on highway 49 near Westhaven Funeral Home.
Details on the wreck are limited at this time.
The collection caused the pick up truck to roll over several times landing in the medium. The Magee Fire Department was called due to possible fire and entrapment.
Approximately six Magee police cars reported to the scene along with AMR. The occupants of the pick up truck were taken to UMMC. The 18 wheeler driver was taken to a hospital in Laurel.
Traffic was re-routed during this time.
