Rev. and Mrs. Lance Word of Magee announce the engagement of their daughter, Joanna Catherine Word to William Bradford Dickins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stacy Dickins of Batesville Mississippi.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Janice Word of Ringgold, Georgia and the late Sam Word and the late Bill and Sylvia Burks.
The perspective groom is the grandson of Bob and Betty Burgess of Anderson, South Carolina and Bill and Ann Dickins of Oxford, Mississippi,
Miss Word is a 2014 graduate of Magee High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Mississippi school of education. She currently teaches third grade at Della Davidson Elementary school in Oxford.
Mr. Dickins is a 2012 graduate of South Panola High School and a 2017 graduate of Liberty University with a Christian Ministry degree. He is currently the Student Minister at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope, Mississippi.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, March 12, at First Baptist Church in Batesville. The ceremony will be officiated by Jeremy Richey. A reception will follow at the Wilbourn Building also in Batesville. After their Colorado honeymoon, the couple will reside in Oxford, Mississippi.
