The support from last night’s game was astounding. Every seat in the house was filled, on both sides, with some fans standing along the fences! The two teams played their hardest. Even though this was not a district game, the longstanding pride from winning this game was on the shoulders of everyone there.

The blood drive was won by the Trojans by one unit of blood! Thank you to everyone who donated and gave blood. You are all lifesavers!

The canned food drive was won by the Tigers.  Mendenhall won with an astounding total of over 3,000 more cans!  Thank you to all who donated in order to stock local food pantries!

The long anticipated game started strong.  The Trojans #2 Chandler Pittman and #5 Ross McInnis made touchdowns in the first and second quarter. With only a few seconds left in the second quarter and with Mendenhall having scored a total of 18 points while Magee having scored a total of 15, the Magee coaches decided to try a 3-point field goal. Both teams lined up.  Magee was set to run the play. Sam Rials kicked, and the points were good! The score was tied 18-18 going into halftime. Fans on both sides were waiting with anticipation to see what would happen during the second half.

Unfortunately for the Trojans, the second half did not go as well for them. Early in the second half, the Trojans fumbled the ball with the Tigers recovering it to score a touchdown. Mendenhall would make three more touchdowns to win the game.

With a tough fight from both sides, the final score came to 18-46 with Mendenhall winning the 95th Annual Simpson County Super Bowl.
