Willie L. Sawyer, Jr. went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was born on October 19, 1920, to Willie L. Sawyer, Sr. and Lucy Abret Risher Sawyer.
Dick loved spending quality time with his family, especially Sunday afternoons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janette Leach Sawyer; son, Sydney Sawyer (Melissa); daughters, Marsha Winningham (Greg), Kim McNulty (Joe); grandchildren, Jil Lane Wright (Jeremy), Josh McNulty (Keely), Morgan Dunn (Chris), Drew Lane (Amber), Malory Yelverton (Stephen), Jordan Sawyer, Emilee Sawyer; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Ava and Wyndam Dunn, Sly, Elle and Monroe McNulty, Grayson and Woods Yelverton, Jaydee and Jackson Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Sawyer, Sr. and Lucy Abret Sawyer; brother, John Atley Sawyer; sisters, Decy S. Peglar and Frances S. Tucker.
Visitation for friends will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, in the chapel at Tutor Funeral Home with interment following in Beulah Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
