By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in John 12:26: “Whoever serves Me must follow Me; and where I am, My servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves Me.” The apostle here is quoting the very words of Jesus to the early Christians, assuring them of their importance to God. If they love and accept Jesus, God’s son, God will love them. Jesus is the Good Shepherd; we, His followers, are His sheep. We know His voice. Let us never forget the very great price God gave when He sent His Son Jesus to die for the sins of the world. We are special to Jesus and God. We are set apart for service. Let us share the love, joy, and kindness with others as repayment. Amen!
