Two years ago on our way back from the Election Commissioners convention, Diane, Donna, and I made a stop at a neat eatery that had come highly recommended because of the delicious pie!

Two years later, we are back at Crest View!  The Watkins family has been in the eatery business for 70 years!  (15 years at this location, I think!).  Cynthia, Judy and Laura meet everyone with a smile and serve one of the best “real” hamburgers (except for the Zip burger) I have ever eaten!  One feels like they are at home chomping down on a juicy burger!

Crest View serve awesome ice cream and shakes—they are just a fabulous home town restaurant!

If you are ever in the Carthage area, make Crest View a stop.  I can promise you will be glad!

Diane, Donna, and I sampled the hamburgers, fries, and sweet potato fries, plus chocolate pie and pound cake!  As you can imagine, we had to talk non stop to stay away on our trip home to Magee!

Check out this article from 2 years ago and video!

(The article actually has recipe for one of the pies)
