By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 1 John 3:16-17
Jesus loved each of us so much that He spent His entire life doing for others – He reached out to those who were in need, and did what He could to help them. He is the true example of how we should treat others.
Jesus wasn’t concerned with how much He had in the way of material goods. He was concerned about others and how they lived their lives. He was concerned enough to reach out to show others the love of our Father. He did everything that He could to help bring others to know God.
