Update from Clay McPherson
Several arrest were made this Holiday week, from DUI’s, burglary, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while licenses are suspended, and warrants. Deputies issued citations from violating the burn ban, seat belt, improper equipment, no proof of insurance, no child restraint.
Last night God was with us when a drunk motorist almost hit several Deputies head on, their training and quick wittiness kept them all alive, the suspect was stopped and arrested before he could kill anyone to include himself.
Please wear your seatbelt’s keep your eyes on the road at all times, do not get distracted by cell phones, kids, GPS or other items. Make sure if you drive, you have your valid, and current Driver License’s on you, current tag, copy of the insurance Cab Current to date, do a pre vehicle inspection. Check your head lights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals tires, oil, water, brakes, fuel, etc.
DO NOT operate any vehicle while under the influence of any narcotics, or alcohol.
If you host a part at your home or land and someone leaves intoxicated and is involved in a vehicle crash and someone get seriously injured or killed the host of the party can be charged with Social Host, this includes having minors at your property drinking. These pasture parties with these minors must stop. Don’t be the example of being arrested as a social host. Help us stop these minors (anyone under 21) from drinking and doing drugs. Parents sit down with your kids and talk to them, if you like call one of our Deputies and we will be glad to have a sit down face to face talk to them. I rather do it that away then have to do it with handcuffs of them.
Please have a safe rest of the year through out the Holidays, don’t do anything that would prevent you not to be here enjoying it with us all.
God Bless
