The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.” The prophet Isaiah enjoyed a very close spiritual union with God Himself, serving, as Isaiah did, as God’s spokesperson to the people of Israel. God gave Isaiah messages He wanted the people to hear to keep them assured of their special place with Him and the covenant they shared. Those who were faithful would enjoy peace and contentment of mind and spirit if they put their faith and trust in God. The same is true for the Christian today. We must trust and obey God if we are to experience that perfect peace which passes all understanding. Amen!
