The passage of Scripture chosen for today is found in Luke 12:40: “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.” We’re told often in the New Testament of the second coming of Christ. Not even the angels in Heaven know when Christ will reappear. Consequently, we must all be ready, watching, and waiting for His appearing. He will come like a thief in the night, we’re told. The dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are saved will be caught up with Him in the air. Will we be found watching? Let us take care of this all-important business and not be found wringing our hands and saying, “I wish I’d been ready.” Amen!
