According to Simpson County Sheriff Paul Mullins, the 16 year old black male who was shot in the back Monday is in stable condition with non life threatening injuries . The young man was ambushed when he got off the bus.
Sheriff Mullins emphasized that the shooting was not a random attack. “We feel the shooter and the victim knew each other,” stated Mullins.
The case is still under investigation.
