The Tuskegee Golden Tigers lost the battle against Benedict in the 2022 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Football Championship 58-21.
Benedict and Tuskegee entered the play off with a combined 20 game willing streak.
Although Benedict has never won a football championship, Benedict sported a 10-0 season coming into the game which is now an 11-0 finish.
Jalen Franks, center for the Tuskegee Golden Tigers and former Magee High School standout, stayed the course with an 8-3 finish.
Jalen is the son of Willie and Linda Franks.
