Truitt Coburn Brown, 75 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Friday, May 19, 2023, at his home in Taylorsville. He was born on Wednesday, December 3, 1947, in Bay Springs, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 113 Front Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Bro. Rich Ables will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564
Mr. Truitt was a member of Old Bay Springs United Methodist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with the grandkids, riding around and visiting friends, helping anyone in need, but most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-four years, Brenda Parker Brown; father, Arthur Cecil Brown; and mother, Lillie Mae Grice Brown.
Survivors include his three children, Barkley Brown of Taylorsville, MS, Bethany Brown Robinson (Jim Bob) of Mize, MS, and Trent Brown of Saucier, MS; three grandchildren, Tristyn Brown of Taylorsville, MS, Axyl Davis of Mize, MS and Ace Robinson of Mize, MS; two brothers, Grady Brown of Bay Springs, MS and Adron Brown of Bay Springs, MS; two sisters, Kay Brown Hall of Arkansas and Pollie Brown Burrow of Taylorsville, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Do John Parker, Greg Parker, Austin Parker, Daniel Parker, David Glenn, and Neal Cole.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adron Brown, Grady Brown, Keith Parker, Guy Hosey, and Derek Hosey.
