Under the direction of Coach Eric Williams, the Trojan boys and girls basketball team met at the Magee Fire Station and took on the town! These young people grouped in five teams with Magee fireman and began painting fire hydrants all over Magee! Members of the team expressed their desire to help their city by actually doing something. One of the girls stated that by giving back to the city…maybe the city would give back to their team through support in the upcoming basketball season.
Fire Marshall Charlie Valadie. Firemen Phillip Magee, Phillip Allan, Michael Allan, and Tommy Horan were the leaders of each group. The students scraped and painted fire hydrants in the downtown area of Magee in preparation for Crazy Day (October 28th). The base coat was painted on the hydrants. The firemen will complete the job.
Praises to Coach Williams for getting his team involved! Praises to the Magee firemen who gave of their Saturday morning to work with young people. Praises to the teams for wanting to make a difference. The team members expressed and interest in coming back to work on another project!
