State Treasurer Lynn Fitch has been reelected by her peers to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST). Treasurer Fitch will serve for a second term as Vice President for the Southern Region beginning in January 2016.

“I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity not only to represent Mississippi, but the entire Southern Region for another term,” said Treasurer Fitch. “NAST has been a great resource to share ideas with state treasurers across the country and I look forward to continuing to use this forum to learn how we can better help the people of our state. My goal for each of these meetings is to learn from other state’s successes and failures with the hope of being a stronger business voice for Mississippi.”

Treasurer Fitch is one of eight committee members who will provide leadership to the association of the nation’s state treasurers. The executive committee works with the association’s president to provide policy direction. It also acts on urgent matters until they can be addressed by the full membership.
