Tracey Crawford has been selected as the Teacher of the Year at Mendenhall Elementary. She is the school librarian. Tracey has been teaching school for twenty-five years, with twenty-two of those being at Mendenhall Elementary. The last thirteen years have been spent in the library, where she loves to be! She is a graduate of USM with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She also completed course work for an endorsement in library and information science at USM. Tracey was the 2014 recipient of the Kaigler-Lamont Award from USM. She has presented library sessions at several different conferences and events in Mississippi.
In her spare time, Tracey is a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Alpha Chi Chapter. She has held many chapter and state offices and is presently the Zeta (MS) State President of Delta Kappa Gamma. Tracey also acts and co-directs the Awestruck Community Theatre in the Magee area.
Tracey has been married to Randy Crawford for twenty-seven years. They reside in Magee. The Crawfords have two daughters, Laurel, 21 and Christa, 17.
