The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Philippians 4:11-12: “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” What a testimony! And what better person than Paul to deliver it to the early Christians and to us today? As Christians, we should adopt the same attitude of being totally dependent on God in all areas of our lives, no matter the circumstance. Mind you, we are to work with our hands and not be idle, and we’re to speak out against injustice. Still, we must learn to be content within ourselves whatever the situation, remembering that God will be with us. He’ll never leave us or forsake us. Amen!
