The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Foundation donated teaching kits to district high school science programs that attended the college’s 30th annual Science Quest Competition.  Each participating high school received a “To Dye For” kit from Fiinn Scientific.  Along with the kit, the teachers received a gel electrophoresis box.  Together these items allow teachers to show their students that science is a more than on individual science, it is a combination of physics, chemistry and biology.  Receiving kits were front row from left, Denise Thibodeaux of Cathedral High School, Jamie Gibson of Cathedral , Dana Rushing of Loyd Star High School, Wendy Cawthorn of Bogue Chitto High School:

Back Row from left: Leslie Hood of Brookhaven Academy, Dr. Dianne Watson of Brookhaven Academy, Vickie King of West Lincoln High School, LaDonna Anderson of Wesson Attendeance Center, Gardner Wooten of Hazelhust High School, and Henry Blount of Hazelhurst High School.  Approximately 109 students from 13 area high schools participated in the competition.  Students are tested in the areas of biology, chemistry and physics competing for scholarships and prizes.  The Co-Lin Foundation provides over $150,000 in scholarship to over 120 Co-Lin Students.teaching kit 1(2) teaching kit 2
