The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in 1 John 3:2: “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” Praise the Lord! Imagine having a new body, a glorified body, and to be like Jesus. As mere mortals,, we do not know or understand the mysteries of God; however, we are assured that when Jesus does appear, the dead in Christ will rise first, and we’ll be changed to His likeness. What a glad reunion day that will be! I’m reminded of the great gospel song “We Shall Be Like Him.” The chorus contains these lyrics: “When in Heaven, we enter His presence. Imperfections will vanish away. We’ll be changed to His glorified likeness. We shall be like Him some day.” What a day that will be! Amen!
