The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1 Peter 1:8: “Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” For the non-Christian, it makes no sense, but we who are Christian know that without faith, it’s impossible to please or ultimately to see God. Through faith, we walk with God and have inward joy and peace.
Let’s be sure, as I remind us daily, to share and spread the love, joy, and kindness with which God has imbued us. People need to see and feel these natural byproducts of being a Christian, and, as we have heard it often said, most folks had rather “see” a sermon any day than “hear” one. Amen!
