Thomas Ray Stewart, 61 of Magee, MS went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Sunday, May 13, 1962 in Magee, MS.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery, in Magee, MS, beginning at 11:00am.  Bro. Kevin Walker will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Thomas was a member of The Army National Guard. He served for 7 years in many different ways. He was a cook, Sharpshooter, and rifle expert. He loved his country and was proud to serve. He would give you the shirt off his back and always take care of you. He and his dear friend Joey T. would talk daily. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Blackledge Tuggle Stewart; father, Carol Ray Stewart; mother, Janie Lavone Warren Stewart; niece, Kimberly Noel Mason; brother-in-law, Dennis Craft.

He is survived by his son, TJ Stewart; daughters, Cherrie Lynn Kindrex (William), Lawana Denise Walters, Karen Marie Stewart (Caleb) and Danielle Marie Stewart; brother, Sam Stewart (Terrie); sisters, Janet Marie Varnes (Joe), Teresa Mason (Paul) and Nancy Gillespie; grandsons, Terry Stewart, Aiden Stewart, William Kindrex and Robert Walters; granddaughters, Emily Kindrex, Khloie Walters, Gracelyn Stewart, Morgan Hudson and Ryleigh Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
