By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Psalm 34:17: “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” The psalmist had learned firsthand that he could rely solely on God to deliver him from his enemies and difficult situations. He knew that God remained fixed in His love for him, the psalmist. We today have that same assurance that because of God’s boundless love and grace, we are forever in His care and keeping. With all the uncertainties facing us during this day and time, we need this blessed assurance just as the psalmist did all those centuries ago. Remember that God remains the same and keeps His promises with His children. We, as part of our covenant with Him, are given the charge to do all we can to spread and share the love, joy, and kindness with others. Let us not grow slack or complacent.
Happy Friday! Be mindful of the weather and stay safe.
