Danny Moseley sold his large Ole Magee home in late 2014 and chose to build a small modern house on his 3-½ acre wooded lot on Maple Avenue in Magee.
Danny and his fiancé, Julie McCallum, chose an Andy McDonald plan. Andy is a renowned architect in Mandeville, Louisiana who uses many of the Hayes Town concepts in his plans.
Danny and Julie used many distinct components, antique cypress doors from New Orleans, centuries old church windows, plus large cypress beams and floors.
The house is small and cozy, yet with an open feel due to the kitchen, dinning and living being one large room with 12-foot ceilings.
Julie is the Christmas decorator and will be using “masculine “elements such as deer and wild life accents to take advantage of the house’s natural setting in the woods.
The Moseley home is located at 800 Maple Avenue North West.
