My granddaughters, Larkin and Harleigh Honea, visited me on Friday, August 30, 2019! What a wonderful day for me!!! I do not get to see my grands as much as I would like…and having girls around is sure a change.
To entertain my girls, I decided to film a cooking show! (Ya’ll know how hard it is to keep everyone entertained!)
We chose Ambrosia Pie to make. One reason I decided on the ambrosia pie was no cooking was required! The pie is a great summer dessert!
Ambrosia Pie:
2 graham cracker pie crusts
1 (15ox) drained can of crushed pineapple
1 90z tub of thawed cool whip
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup of lemon juice
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Now, this is where we just started adding other fruits:
Cherries, peaches, Mandarin oranges, and pecans
In a large bowl, mix together the crushed pineapple, condensed milk, lemon juice, vanilla extract and other fruits until well combined, then mix in the cool whip and stir to combine (this is the area we got “out of order” but still worked fine!)
Pour the mixture in the pie crusts evenly and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
Enjoy!
The girls and I had a great time and hearing their comments is priceless. When Harleigh was ready to stop…she just left the set and hit the pool! Fun time in Magee at Sue Sue’s house!

Precious! I think they have a future in show biz!!!
