The Federal Student Loan Pause is Coming to an End

The U.S. Department of Education has extended its temporary pause on student loans through August 31, 2022. This pause includes:

  • 0% interest on all loans
  • A suspension of loan payments
  • Stopped collection on defaulted loans

Keep on the lookout for your loan servicer to send information by mail or email about your specific loans. Prepare for repayment by reviewing income-driven plans and other options for borrowers. If you haven’t received any information yet, reach out to your servicer with your questions.
