TECH CENTER FEATURES HEALTH SCIENCES!
Simpson County Technical Center is featuring its Health Science Program. Pictured is Instructor, Brenda White (standing) and Carpentry Instructor, Maurice Bryant (patient/posing as grandfather), with student Karli Welch during a filming project of a Public Service Announcement on the hazards of tobacco use over a period of years. Mr. Bryant has been diagnosed with emphysema and is unable to attend his granddaughter’s high school graduation. Karli, Nacaseia Langston and Emily Reed all worked on this project for State HOSA Competition. Health Science provides instruction to enable students to make realistic health care career goals. It includes classroom and hands-on experiences that provides an overview of the health care field. Students in Health Science have the option of joining Health Organizations Students of America (HOSA), which is one of the student organizations for career and technical students enrolled in this class. Mrs. White is the HOSA sponsor for the Simpson County Technical Center.
