Sue Hamilton Lee, 81, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Friday, August 25, 1939, in Water Valley, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, in Jackson, Mississippi. Bro. Charlie McNeil will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564
Mrs. Lee was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church of Taylorsville, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved caring for her dogs and cats, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee; father, Edward Hamilton; mother, Delores Upchurch Beard; daughter, Jerry Sue Gunter; brother, Stephen Beard; and sister, Lila Hamilton Cook.
Survivors include her five loving children, Tommy McNeil and wife Lisa, of Brookhaven, Tim W. McNeil and wife, Sherri, of Taylorsville, Kim McNeil Macy and husband Ralph, of Shreveport, LA, Richy McNeil and wife, Kim, of Brandon, and Randy McNeil and wife, Kristie, of Raleigh; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Price of Florence; brother, Edward Hamilton and wife, Beth, of Brandon; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Nick McNeil, Caleb McNeil, Ran McNeil, Haedyn McNeil, Wesley West, and Bobby Neal.
