The Scriptural passage for today is found in Ezekiel 18:21: “If a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all My decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.” Ezekiel, the prophet of old, is again speaking the very Words of God as they were imparted to him. God’s chosen people were very dear to Him, and God knew they were constantly being wooed by false idols of the various nations with whom they came in contact. God did not mean that those who were righteous would never die a mortal’s death. No, they would surely pass from this life, but immortality would be theirs if they followed God’s commandments and precepts. The same holds true for us today. Let us be mindful of our own human condition and strive to live lives which are pleasing to God. The rules are clearly outlined within the BIBLE. Study it daily. Align yourself with God’s Word and live a glorious new life in the Hereafter. Amen!
