Today, the Office of the Attorney General announced it has completed the

review of three incidents involving officer-involved shootings. These include a

May 2, 2024, incident in Mendenhall involving one officer with the Mendenhall Police Department; a January 28, 2024, incident in Jackson involving one lieutenant and two officers with Capitol Police; and a December 6, 2023, incident in Amory involving two officers with the Amory Police Department. In all three incidents, the Attorney General’s Office found the use of force was justified.
