Southern Miss Police Captain Receives Inaugural Award

University of Southern Mississippi Police Capt. Lisa Carter has been recognized by The Hattiesburg Hundred as part of the group’s inaugural push to honor area law enforcement officers and first responders.

Carter was presented her award during the first annual ceremony held earlier this month at the Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg. Each year, members of the Hattiesburg Hundred will meet for an annual dinner to join with the heads of agencies who will each select an honoree from their force to receive special recognition for meritorious service.
