LAUREL, Miss. — August 28, 2025 — The South Central Health Care Foundation is excited to host its inaugural Hope Hustle 5K and Fun Run, to be held on the morning of Saturday, September 20, in Ellisville.
The 5K race will begin promptly at 7 a.m. at Sports and Fitness at the Ell, located at 202 Pine Street, Ellisville, MS 39437. Participants will follow a scenic route through downtown Ellisville and the campus of Jones College. The Fun Run, open to children under the age of 12, will follow at 8:15 a.m. An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the conclusion of both races.
This event is more than just a run; it is a chance to impact women and children who receive their care locally. Proceeds from the Hope Hustle 5K will directly fund the capital campaign to revitalize the South Central Maternal Child and Pediatric Unit: a 27,000 square foot floor at South Central.
Funds raised will help transform this space into a modern, family-centered space where mothers, newborns and children from across our six-county service area receive care in a nurturing, state-of-the-art environment. To reach its goal, SCRMC needs the community’s participation and support.
Registration is now open to the public at scrmchopehustle.com. Community members, businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate, sponsor or donate to this important cause. For more information regarding corporate sponsorship opportunities or other ways to support the event, please contact the South Central Health Care Foundation at 601-399-5503 or foundation@scrmc.com.
