In this morning’s devotion from “On Calvary’s Hill” by Max Lucado, he had some powerful words for all of us: Jesus knows how we feel and He knows what we are facing!!! He was sad and wept in public, He was angered by sin, He loved His family deeply, and He was tempted with all manner of sin by Satan !! Yet, He resisted sin and willingly gave His life that all of us who did not resist sin could have forgiveness and freedom from the bondage of that sin. When we turn to Him for help, He runs to help us because He has been there! He is not ashamed of us, He understands us and loves us!! It is so simple yet we are all guilty of thinking that we do not deserve a second or third chance; we think that we have messed up our lives and there is no hope for us. God is in the business of making something beautiful out of our messes!! Never believe the lie that anyone is beyond the reach of God!! God is a gentleman, and He is waiting for the invitation to come in and fix our lives. He will not force himself into our lives. It is our choice.
