WESSON – Six outstanding sophomores on Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Wesson Campus have been named to the college’s Hall of Fame, the highest honor that can be given a Co-Lin student.

During the college’s Annual Awards Day, Co-Lin President Dr. Ronnie Nettles announced the 2017-2018 Hall of Fame recipients are Kelsi Baldwin of Florence, Madison Franklin of Brookhaven, Alex Hamilton of Florence, Rainee Luper of Ruth, Morgan Wallis of Bogue Chitto, and Darrian Wilson of Brookhaven.

Kelsi Baldwin is Vice President of Leadership for the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and President of Sigma Kappa Delta. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, College Republicans, Centurions, President’s Council, and the Creative Writing Club. Kelsi was selected as PTK Officer of the Year, Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Campus Favorite, and PTK All-Mississippi Academic Team. She also serves as a student tutor at the Writing Center.

She is the daughter of Stacy Baldwin.

Madison Franklin

Madison Franklin is a member of the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta, Phi Beta Lambda, and Trailblazers. She was selected as a homecoming maid her freshman year, Homecoming Queen in 2017, and Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Madison won first place at the Phi Beta Lambda State Conference. A member of the Lady Wolfpack Tennis team, she was named MACJC Academic All-State.

She is the daughter of Woodie and Linda Franklin.

Alex Hamilton

Alex Hamilton serves as Student Government Association President and Vice President of Research for the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. He is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Student Voices, Phi Beta Lambda, and Trailblazers. Alex was selected as a Campus Favorite, Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and PTK All-Mississippi Academic First Team. He was one of only 20 students nationwide to be named to the All-USA Academic Team, and was the only student from Mississippi to receive the New Century Transfer Pathway Scholarship.

He is the son of Randy and Sandy Stagg.

Rainee Luper

Rainee Luper is President of the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Regional President of Phi Theta Kappa, and Vice President of Student Government Association. She is the Editor of Wolftales and a Baptist Student Union officer. Rainee is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Phi Beta Lambda, and the Healthy Teens Council. She was selected as a Campus Favorite and Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

She is the daughter of Heath and Tonya Luper.

Morgan Wallis

Morgan Wallis is Vice President of Service for the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Vice President of Trailblazers, and Vice President of the Alpha Omega Science Club. She is also Co-Captain of the Colettes. Morgan was selected as a Campus Favorite and Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

She is the daughter of David and Brittany Teaster and the late Shane Wallis.

Darrian Wilson

Darrian Wilson is a member of the Wesley Foundation and the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. He received a Foundation scholarship, was named to Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the President’s List. He was selected as Mr. Co-Lin for the Wesson Campus. Darrian is a member of the Wolfpack Basketball team.He is the son of Betty Wilson-McSwain and Preston Wilson.
