Thirty-eight Simpson County Academy students and two adults headed to Jones County Junior College on February 5, 2015, for the Future Business Leaders of America district competition. There were approximately 720 students in attendance at the district competition. Twenty-eight students from Simpson Academy placed anywhere from 1st to 6th place in their categories. Colt Barron of Simpson Academy also won the FBLA ‘s Got Talent competition. FBLA Students from all schools put over $500.00 dollars in his bucket to help raise money for March of Dimes while he was singing! Amy McWilliams is the FBLA sponsor at Simpson Academy. Congratulations to all the winners, and good luck at state!
All of these students qualified to move on and compete at the FBLA State Leadership Conference that will be held in Jackson April 8 – 10.
