The Simpson Cross Country Boys’ Team has been running well in the last few meets leading up to the MAIS State Championship Meet, which will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021.

The team performed well at the Mississippi College Watson Invitational Meet on Saturday, October 16 at Choctaw Trails in Clinton.

The team was led by Denver Carter, who placed 22nd with a time of 17:59:84.

All members of the team finished with their best times of the season:

  • Jayden Smith – 20:19.61
  • Braden Overby – 20:40:34
  • Parker Payne – 20:49:91
  • Thomas Martin – 22:23.93
  • John Thomas White – 31:04.96

The Simpson Cross Country Boys’ Team also performed well at the Columbia Academy Caleb Coleman Invitational on Tuesday, October 12, led again by Denver Carter, who placed 5th with a time of 18:47:80.



The boys will finish the regular season on Tuesday, October 19 at the Fast & Furious 2-Miler at Neely Farms in Magee before competing in the MAIS State Championship Meet on Monday, October 25, at Choctaw Trails in Clinton.
