The complaint comes concerning a Simpson Central Student, 9 year old Lydia Booth, wearing a “Jesus Loves Me” mask.

Apparently, the compliant to Simpson Central came from an outside source who had seen a social media post made by the student’s mother, Jennifer Booth, advising her daughter would be wearing the mask to school.

After notification to Simpson Central, the administration investigated the complaint finding the student was hearing the mask.  The student was asked to remove the mask.  The parent was notified .

Page 20 of the Simpson County Handbook states:

Students are not allowed to wear or display a garment or other item with racial or gang overtones or any other symbol which will cause disruption or indicate disruptive behavior.

The lawsuit was filed for restriction of religious liberty.

Named in the lawsuit:  Greg Paes, Robert Sanders, Simpson County School District, Antoinette Woodall, the Board of Education of Simpson County, Mississippi.

But teachers have been seen wearing BLM face masks. So I guess that is okay, right ? At what point will Christians say enough is enough. I bet if at face mask had an Islamic saying on it no one would have said a word. But oh no not JESUS.
