“On August 13, 2025 deputies were dispatched to a call involving a missing person that had been missing for several hours. The only belongings left near the scene of the residence were the subject’s shoes and shirt. At approximately 6:00 P.M., I deployed K9 Hanz on the ground. I observed K9 Hanz smell the scent article left behind from the missing subject, and he proceeded to begin tracking through the edge of the wood line for approximately 400 yards heading east behind the residence. At approximately 6:08 P.M., K9 Hanz and I located the missing person just slightly right of the track.”
