PHI THETA KAPPA INDUCTEES- One hundred and eight Copiah-Lincoln Community College students were inducted into the Eta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during spring ceremonies in Rea Auditorium on the college’s Wesson Campus. Inductees from Simpson County included seated from left, Paige Holder, Kayla Lidell, Lila Grace Hanna, Tyonna Johnson; standing from left, Alex Boykin, Peyton Neely, and Alex Hamilton. Phi Theta Kappa, headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, is the largest honor society in higher education with 1,285 chapters on college campuses in all 50 of the United States, Canada, Germany, the Republic of Palau, Peru, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the British Virgin Islands, the United Arab Emirates, and U.S. territorial possessions. More than three million students have been inducted since its founding in 1928, with approximately 134,000 students inducted annually. Students must achieve a 3.5 or better academic average to receive an invitation for membership.
