According to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, shots were fired at 189 Big V South near the Covington County line Sunday. Deputies were assisted by officers with Magee PD.
Once on the scene, deputies soon discovered the body of Joshua Thurman with an apparent gun shot wound to the head.
The suspect, Tarmaine Orlando Hayes was taken into custody without further incident.
